Some of my favorite classic games are financial-related. Aside from the war and strategy games, financial games seem to require the most involvement and concentration.

They might not be the most suitable games for very young children, but I still remember trading stocks and bonds well before I was aware that they were anything other than slips of paper.

Newer financial games really pale in comparison to some of these classics, which are intricate and loads of fun. Mine a Million is another great vintage game, but was much less popular in the States than in the UK. They can be found quit easily these days if you look, however.
